Zack Can Read Too!
Okay, I’m totally kidding. I’m still trying to convince him that I am Mama, as opposed to Ainsley.
Generally, people who still poop in their pants aren’t avid readers. But, that does not stop me from handing him a board book to keep him on the potty for a few more minutes of trying. Learning to read while learning to poop - now that’s multi-tasking.

Exposure to literacy is good. Period. Whether you’re 6 months or 6 years talking about letters, sounds, origins of words, names of things and how they might be spelled is never a bad idea.
When Ainsley was 2 she would watch the credits and point and shout when she saw an “A.” Is that “reading?” Not exactly. But it is the beginning of literacy.
