Will You Pay $50 A Month to Live A Stress-Free Life?

Here is a question for you. If you can pay 50 dollars a month and you are guaranteed to have a stress free life (stress caused by kids, family issues or work and money related), will you do it?

When I heard this question on the radio (Denver 105.9) today, I didn’t hesitate and answered, “Hell yeah!!! Sign me up!!”

I was actually shocked to find out that 55% of the people who were polled by the radio station wouldn’t do it. Yes, you heard it alright. Majority of the people will not spend 50 dollars, which is less than the cable TV fee, to get rid of the stress in their lives. The radio had a few callers to explain the reason why they wouldn’t do it. Those who don’t want to do it (mostly women) argued that life comes with stress and that’s how we live. Ironically, most men who called in opted for paying 50 bucks and live stress-free ever after.

Science has already proven the relations between stress and some diseases. A recent Newsweek article also talked about how stress can hurt your heart. Here is the full article if you are interested in finding out if you belong to the “highly distressed” category and what it means to your health.

I don’t know about you. But if I have a way to get rid of the stress, especially work related, I’d pay 200 bucks a month if that’s possible.
