The Dress That Went To Vegas
Well, after 15 hours, door to door from Vegas to New York, no thanks to U.S. Airways and the entire airline industry we have returned from our trip to Vegas.
I wasn’t sure about the whole packing thing, because I’ve calculated that since I started The Pet Set, much of my wardrobe harkens back to the late 1990’s…(can you say Delorean?)
Years ago, when I was working at Mercedes-Benz, I bought the cutest little spaghetti-strapped, little black dress for, ironically, a business trip in Vegas.
Since that time, I haven’t worn this piece once, although it’s been packed about a hundred times.
It’s been to Vegas, Palm Beach, Phili, Maine, NYC, San Francisco, London, LBI New Jersey, Phoenix, and back to Vegas, but never worn.
I know what the problem is, I know longer have my 1990’s body and plus it never really fit that well.
So, while I was sitting at the pool, feeling so self-conscious about my 2007 body, a light bulb went off…this little black dress would make the perfect beach cover-up!
So, there you have it, my dress replaced my 1980’s beach cover up, that has never been worn!
Can ya’ say make-over!

I can’t wait to hear about your Vegas trip. My sister in law is going this week and I am so jealous.
Where did you stay? Did you see a show? Did you win big?

Hi Char,
We stayed at the Wynn Las Vegas…it’s the lease Las Vegas-y of all of the hotels.
We saw Ray Romano (hysterical) and Eric Clapton.
And no…we did not win big…LOL Hope your sister has a great time.
