My arteries just screamed out in mortal fear, but I’m gonna make it anyway.

We call this recipe “Better Than Robert Redford” in my family. I know, what an embarrassing name, but it’s so so so good.

I like your name better than mine. I’m renaming the pie!

I told my grandma the name of your pie Violet.
She said, “Well, I have Robert Redford’s pie recipe and his is made with pistaccio pudding.”
So, now the name of your pie - chocolate versus pistaccio pudding in the pie makes sense.
It really is Better than Robert Redford Pie.

That sounds so delicious!
But I’m a little confused by the crust: why does it say 1 c. pecans then 1/2 c. pecans? Are the 2 amounts treated differently? (e.g. chopped fine/chopped coarse)
We have a ton of pecans this year so I’m collecting good recipes to use them up.
