Shoe Switcheroo

There are two reasons to love a pair of shoes.

1. They look fantastic and make you feel more confident, attractive or sexy. Like the Mossimo Peep-toe Pumps I got for my birthday. Or. . .

2. They’re comfortable. Like the platypus-toe Keens my mom gave me. 

I did the shoe switcheroo on Saturday. I wore the pumps to a church meeting and pot luck.  I feel fantastic in them, so hot. So glad I went with the smashing red versus the safe and practical match everything black pair.

Then we went touristing around town after the meeting I switched into my Keen’s, which I had stashed in the car. My mother, generous and nice as she is, was wearing them when she came for a visit. 

 Those are either the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen or they’re kinda cool.

They are so comfortable. Here try them, she said.

Then my aunt, also a Keen-lover said, I wear mine walking, they’re great for working out.

Keep em, my mom said.

I did. They are fabulous at the gym, no tying laces, no need for hot socks, breathable and quick on and off at the scales or pool.

On Saturday night, it was back to the car for the red pumps for going out that evening.

Now, if only they could make a pair of Keens that make me feel as hot as red peep-toe pumps.
