I Ran for Electoral College

You know your vote for President, technically, doesn’t count right?

Basically, you vote on whether a state gets an electoral college vote for the Democrat or the Republican candidate.

This is the reason that George W. Bush is the President instead of Al Gore - who actually won the popular vote.

So, I’m sure I’m not the only one who sits in my living room tuned into CNN on election night hearing them talk about the electoral college thinking, how do you get that job?

So, when I was at the Texas Democratic Convention in my precinct meeting and I heard “This vote is for electoral college, you’ll have to come to Austin if Democrats win in Texas and cast your electoral college vote for president.”

I turned to my friends Gina and Charlie and said, “I want that job. Nominate me for that!”

And they did.

I lost.

But, everyone in my county voted for me. All four of them.

It was awesome. I ran for electoral college. Should I put it on my resume?
