I heard on Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show, that Fergie can’t wait to work with R. Kelly.
Everyone has their demons, she reportedly said.
R. Kelly is pleading not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography. Authorities contend the video tape was made sometime during a three year span, when the girl may have been as […]

Would you prefer to have an internal-religious life which mirrors Hillary Clinton or Mother Teresa?
I read two very interesting articles about two very powerful women’s religious lives.
Surely I’m not the only woman out there for whom religion is a complicated experience. Let’s face it or thousands of years religion was the major form of oppression for women.
God told […]

Some authors have to hustle to promote their books. They struggle to get a book deal, sometimes they self-publish. They contact reporters and beg for reviews. I get contacted by these hard working artists trying to make a difference, write a story, people with something relevant to say.
But, not Jenna Bush. The President’s daughter has […]

Ainsley found a box of brownie mix in the cabinet.
We mixed it up - yummy. I mean YUMMY. Zack agrees.
Then she made me cook it and it ruined the whole thing. Am I the only one who knows that brownie batter is better than brownies? Duh.

Hanging out with one of my saner friends, Jen - you might know her from the Blogosphere - I confessed to buying a new gym outfit.
Since losing weight I’ve resisted wasting money on clothes I’m going to wear for a few months until I lose more. Especially on work out clothes. It seems like the least […]

I took the smoking cessation pill Chantix and posted about it in May on Blog Fabulous.
I’m nearing my 700th post on that one blog entry. It’s becoming difficult to scroll down and load up and more and more people are quitting smoking and wanting to share their stories. It’s taking a great deal of time […]

Did everyone see the Liar McLiar Lie (Karen Ignagni is the president of America’s Health Insurance Plans) on Oprah today?
We {Insurance Companies} wouldn’t be here if we weren’t doing a great job, She said.
Insurance companies are doing beyond a bad job - they are criminals profiting on American’s illness.
Elections a coming sister . . I plan to […]

This month my book-club read In an Instant, by Lee and Bob Woodward.
It’s worth reading for a couple of reasons. Not the least of which is the example of coping mechanism exhibited by Lee, wife of Bob.
What was the first thing she did when she found out Bob had been hit in Iraq? She went […]

Well according to the new Gossip Girl television show the producers as the view, which happens to be teenagers, to believe that rape IS sexy. Producers of the ultra-glamorous and oh-so-risque hot new show use intentional edits to try to blur the distinction between getting raped and consenting to sex. They glamorized rape, not once but twice, […]

What are the kids wearing these days?
Well, jelly bracelets are in, Mohawks, lots of rock n’roll black featuring AC/DC and Ozzie, low hip belts, chunky neon colored beads, really long t-shirts, necklaces made out of pop can tops (this time around they are from colorful Monster Energy Drinks) and even a chain here and there.
Whenever […]

I’m a huge reader who avoids the library. I decided to reconsider my position.
$20 in late fees and lost books later I now remember why I avoid the library.
Children place no value on money or things. That’s the great thing about them. But, I just had to pay $17 for a board book that had […]

Can public criticism, say from an entire nation, make you change your hair and face in a drastic way? Would you change your hair color? Would you surgically alter your face?
Marsha Clark, attorney in the infamously televised OJ Simpson trial did. She’s now a blond who straightens her hair and wears a lot more make-up. The ladies on […]

There was a story yesterday on MSNBC.com about a woman who is suing her doctor because her IVF (in-vitro fertilization) resulted in twins . . . and she only wanted one child.
Yeah, make IVF and fertility treatment and medical help in general less affordable and accessible for everyone else. Oh, and the child, never mind that “Mommy doesn’t really want […]
